What a crappy night on TV
I watched the Lou Dobbs show on CNN and it’s the only show I watch on CNN because…. well you know. Also I can’t stand Shepard Smith. (also at 7pm here, but on Fox) I keep expecting Ryan Seacrest to walk on stage and kiss Shepard or something.
So I’m watching CNN and President Obama comes on for his second stand up comedy routine. It was somewhat entertaining. He’s got some good writers and he’s a much better speaker than B B Bush was. My problem is with the smugness and then at the end the praise of the adoring media saying WE. Of course that does not include FoxNews. Only thing for them is an insult. I don’t care what he may think of Fox. A President should be a little more mature than that. Every public figure is going to have some nay sayers. Get over it.
After the reporter’s dinner was over CNN brings on four comedians to talk about how good or bad the POTUS did at his stand up routine. I watched that for a couple of minutes and it was obvious that one guy dressed like Elvis was gay and then there was Penn of Penn & and Teller and I noticed he may also be gay and then I started looking at the other two and thought – very good chance. Then they put all four of their faces up in a grid and it reminded me of Hollywood sQuares. Problem is Penn was the only one I recognized and I never liked Penn & Teller in the first place.
So I changed the channel to Fox and found Hannity argueing with Phil Donahue. That didn’t last too long before I hit the mute button due to listening to Phil. He ought to be a permanent member of The View.
I was finally able to take it off mute after Phil was gone. Huckabee was on but I only caught the end of it. It was about the riots in Iran based on the crooked election. Didn’t we just have one of those? After that was Paul Rodriguez, another comedian, born in east LA no less. But he was on there for a serious reason. Apparently due to the endangered species act, thousands of acres of farmland no longer get water. All the crops are dried up now and not producing. Paul is a Democrat and a fan of the Potus. At least he was but now he’s not so sure. Imagine that. All this is over a 2″ minnow. 80,000 jobs lost. Granted most of them were probably illegals from Mexico because this is in Southern California. It’s still a lot of USDA/FDA inspected food that will have to be replaced with food from somewhere else like China, Argentina, Chile or even Mexico a few hundred miles South and only 1% of that will be inspected. Not to mention that those countries don’t have all those cumbersome regulations like save the minnows, screw the Americans or no DDT etc. That’s OK. It’s all for the greater good of the world as a whole.
All praise Obamallahunnwo
