I caught wind of this on a forum I’m a member of. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. More accurately I couldn’t believe I was reading it for the first time. H.R. 2647 National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 is.

“A bill to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2010 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes.”

Here’s one of the “other purposes”. Pay close attention to the phrase “as determined by the Attorney General”. You know, the one that thinks we’re a Nation of Cowards.

SEC. 524. PROHIBITION ON RECRUITMENT, ENLISTMENT, OR RETENTION OF PERSONS ASSOCIATED OR AFFILIATED WITH GROUPS ASSOCIATED WITH HATE-RELATED VIOLENCE AGAINST GROUPS OR PERSONS OR THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.

Section 504 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:

‘(c) Persons Associated or Affiliated With Hate Groups-

‘(1) PROHIBITION- A person associated or affiliated with a group associated with hate-related violence against groups or persons or the United States Government, as determined by the Attorney General, may not be recruited, enlisted, or retained in the armed forces.

‘(2) DEFINITION OF HATE GROUP- In this subsection, the terms ‘group associated with hate-related violence’ or ‘hate group’ mean the following:

‘(A) Groups or organizations that espouse or engage in acts of violence against other groups or minorities based on ideals of hate, ethnic supremacies, white supremacies, racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, or other bigotry ideologies.

‘(B) Groups or organizations engaged in criminal gang activity including drug and weapons trafficking and smuggling.

‘(C) Groups or organizations that espouse an intention or expectation of armed revolutionary activity against the United States Government, or the violent overthrow of the United States Government.

‘(D) Groups or organizations that espouse an intention or expectation of armed activity in a ‘race war’.

‘(E) Groups or organizations that encourage members to join the armed forces in order to obtain military training to be used for acts of violence against minorities, other groups, or the United States Government.

‘(F) Groups or organizations that espouse violence based on race, creed, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

‘(G) Other groups or organizations that are determined by the Attorney General to be of a violent, extremist nature.

‘(3) EVIDENCE OF ASSOCIATION OR AFFILIATION WITH HATE GROUP- The following shall constitute evidence that a person is associated or affiliated with a group associated with hate-related violence:

‘(A) Individuals possessing tattoos or other body markings indicating association or affiliation with a hate group.

‘(B) Individuals known to have attended meetings, rallies, conferences, or other activities sponsored by a hate group.

‘(C) Individuals known to be involved in online activities with a hate group, including being engaged in online discussion groups or blog or other postings that support, encourage, or affirm the group’s extremist or violent views and goals.

‘(D) Individuals who are known to have in their possession photographs, written testimonials (including diaries or journals), propaganda, or other materials indicating involvement or affiliation with a hate group. Such materials can include photographs, written materials relating to or referring to extreme hatred that are clearly not of an academic nature, possession of objects that venerate or glorify hate-inspired violence, and related materials, as determined by the Attorney General.

‘(E) Individuals espousing the intent to acquire military training for the purpose of using such training towards committing acts of violence of a purpose not affiliated with the armed forces.

‘(4) REQUIREMENTS FOR RECRUITERS AND ENLISTMENT PROCESSING STATIONS- A military recruiters may not enlist, or assist in enlisting, a person who is associated or affiliated with a group associated with hate-related violence, as evidenced pursuant to paragraph (3). A person at any military enlistment processing station who, during the screening process, is found to be affiliated or associated with a hate group (including through admitting to any such affiliation or association on any form or document) is automatically prohibited from enlisting.

‘(5) SEPARATION-

‘(A) SEPARATION REQUIRED- A person discovered or determined to be associated or affiliated with a group associated with hate-related violence, as evidenced pursuant to paragraph (3), shall be immediately discharged from the armed forces, in the manner prescribed in regulations regarding discharge from service.

‘(B) EXCEPTION- Subparagraph (A) shall not apply to a member of the armed forces who has renounced the member’s previous affiliation or association with a group associated with hate-related violence, as determined by the commanding officer of the member.

‘(6) REPORTING REQUIREMENT- Not later than April 1, 2010, and annually thereafter, the Secretary concerned shall submit to the Committees on Armed Service of the Senate and House of Representatives a report–

‘(A) on the presence in the armed forces of members who are associated or affiliated with a group associated with hate-related violence and describing the actions of the Secretary to discharge such members; and

‘(B) describing the actions of the Secretary to prevent persons who are associated or affiliated with a hate group from enlisting.’.

So it will be up to one man to decide who’s on ze hate list. Welcome to 1930′s Germany. Oh maybe they’ll appoint a hate czar.

Rules for Radicals

In 1971, Saul Alinsky wrote an entertaining classic on grassroots organizing titled Rules for Radicals. Those who prefer cooperative tactics describe the book as out-of-date. Nevertheless, it provides some of the best advice on confrontational tactics. Alinsky begins this way:

What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away.

His “rules” derive from many successful campaigns where he helped poor people fighting power and privilege

For Alinsky, organizing is the process of highlighting what is wrong and convincing people they can actually do something about it. The two are linked. If people feel they don’t have the power to change a bad situation, they stop thinking about it.

According to Alinsky, the organizer — especially a paid organizer from outside — must first overcome suspicion and establish credibility. Next the organizer must begin the task of agitating: rubbing resentments, fanning hostilities, and searching out controversy. This is necessary to get people to participate. An organizer has to attack apathy and disturb the prevailing patterns of complacent community life where people have simply come to accept a bad situation. Alinsky would say, “The first step in community organization is community disorganization.”

Through a process combining hope and resentment, the organizer tries to create a “mass army” that brings in as many recruits as possible from local organizations, churches, services groups, labor unions, corner gangs, and individuals.

Alinsky provides a collection of rules to guide the process. But he emphasizes these rules must be translated into real-life tactics that are fluid and responsive to the situation at hand.

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

These are the tactics of Obama’s mentor, but remember, these are for community organizers not someone in power. People in power have a lot more tools at their disposal. Like controlling what people see and hear.

Most people in this country have no clue what’s going on. A friend of mine who does not get FoxNews on cable said to me the other day that all he sees on the news is some local stuff and the other half of it is basically a commercial for American Idol. He did hear about the Holocaust shooting but not the recruiter shooting.

I don’t know which is worse. At least the last administration tried to hide the fact that every decision was based on profit. This one’s just so obvious. 5 top officials including Pelosi and Frank, Oh and Waxman, yeah the guy that wrote the bill,  just invested in green companies. Talk about writing your own ticket. Must be nice.

Another big spending bill pushed on through without proper reading or time to amend it. Oh wait it was amended at 3:00 in the morning and voted on the following no make that the same day. It was not on display available to read as it’s supposed to be. Organized crime has truly taken over. Of course it’s been this way for years. Who runs our country? Haliburton, GE, Wall Street, Pharmaceutical companies, WalMart? All of the above. It’s not us that’s for damn sure. Millions of phone calls to OUR Representatives were 20:1 against the cap and trade yet it passes the senate.

Now phrases like “arm twisting” are being talked about. The President even “made some calls”. What is going on? I’m starting to wonder if it would do any good to vote them all out. Will the new ones simply be bought or coerced just like the old ones. It’s time for a new kind of “Peoples Court”. We the People find you guilty of corruption at the highest level and sentence you to life in debt just like you did to our children. Oh and all of your assets will be used to pay off the deficit you created. Next case please. Hey just a joke guys, no need to send in the black SUVs. Nothin to see here, move along. I’m just a little guy, a simple voter, I have no power, no reason to be alarmed.

Here we go again. It’s not enough that our Southern border is wide open allowing Mexicans  to simply walk across. It’s not enough that the violence of the Cartel is also spilling over here. It’s not enough we import many goods from Mexico including food. Yes food from a country that can’t even drink it’s own water because it’s riddled with their own waste. Now we need to send them money even though in 2005, 20 million illegal aliens from Mexico sent 20 billion dollars a back to Mexico. That comes from Wikipedia. It’s how the U.S. Government calculates how many illegals are here. They base it on remittances of U.S. dollars back to Mexico mostly through Banco Popular.

But now we need to send them more U.S. dollars. “Under the Merida Initiative, the U.S. is giving Mexico $1.4 billion over three years, for military and law enforcement training and equipment, like helicopters, and includes extensive contracts for U.S. hardware and training.” Of course it’s to fight the cartel which the Government on both sides want to blame on us. The news keeps reiterating Hillary and AG Holder’s false claim that 90% of the guns the cartel has come from here.  The truth is 90% of the guns that Mexican authorities send back here to be traced are actually from here. But that’s only 17% of what they actually seize. The rest they don’t send here to be traced because it’s obvious by the Chinese, Russian or Islamic writing on them that they are not from here. Especially the grenade launchers and other items that aren’t even sold here. What they also don’t mention is that a lot of the guns that come from here were actually sold by our Government to the Mexican Government for their Military and Law Enforcement. Instead they want to blame it on gun shops along the southern border and I’m sure many guns are probably from there but not as many as they make it out to be. This is merely propaganda in their hopes of future gun control and squashing of the 2nd Amendment. They know what the 2nd Amendment was written for and it scares the hell out of them because people are starting to wake up to the fact that our government is full of corruption.

So now we have to give 1.4 billion to a corrupt Mexican Government because we refuse to simply maintain the border. I guess building a big wall would look too Nazi-ish and would be so not PC. Oh wait that wall was splitting a country two.  Not a bad idea, all the liberals and the welfare cases/illegal immigrants that they seem to want to “take care of” so badly on one half and all the people that simply want to work for a living and be free on the other. We’ll see who thrives. Did you know some Americans are taking matters into their own hands because our government won’t enforce it’s own immigration laws? The Minuteman Project was started in 2004 by a Purple Heart decorated ex Marine after years of frustrated efforts trying to get a neglectful U.S. government to simply enforce existing immigration laws. If you’ve heard their name in the news lately (or even of you haven’t) check out the FAQ page. Why doesn’t Obama give them 1.4billion for  doing the work that our government is supposed to be doing? Oh sorry that money went to a special interest project to pay back a favor  done by a campaign contributor. Sort of like the UAW having a big chunk of ownership in a couple of car companies after being one of the biggest contributors to the Obama campaign. Nothing to see here, move along.

WOW, I had to comeback  and edit this post to add this page at the Minuteman site that is full of facts and figures. The bottom  half is a breakdown of how much illegal immigration costs the U.S. Taxpayers. The total is 338.3 Billion per year.

So it’s less than two weeks to July 4th and there will be lots going on in the way of Tea Parties, Freedom Day, a March on DC (which will be more like single file orderly walk to a predetermined out of the way location to peacefully demonsrate) I’m sure it will be big though. My local Tea Party will be at the county fairgrounds on a county road a mile or so away from the city. So everyone that attends will know about it. What? How is that a protest? The country of Iran is complete anarchy because they believe the election was fraudulent. How about our election? 14 lawsuits against Acorn for “voter registration fraud” and to top it off it’s still questionable if the POTUS elected is even eligible for the Presidency. He’s spent close to a million dollars fighting his own lawsuits instead of simply producing an acceptable Birth Certificate.

That’s OK, I guess our style is a little different than the Iranians since our country has been so peaceful for so long so we’ll do it the American way. We’ll have parties. I know a lot of people have been working very hard to organize these events and I am in full support. I will be attending mine. To make real change I’ve heard a lot of people say it needs to start from the ground up and I tend to agree. The fed is a huge monster to try and take down. Change your City, Town, County and your State. Candidates are starting to pop up for the 2010 elections and we need to replace as many incumbents as we can. This means we’ve got a lot of work to do and we cannot rest. It’s time for all of us to become political activists and support the right people. It also means a lot of research and learning about the candidates and publisizing anything we find. We’ve already got 1 democrat and 3 republican candidates for Florida’s US  Senate seat. I’ll be adding a post about them in the future. I plan on having an entire section devoted to Florida Politics here on the site.

Here are my rants. What am I just plain fed up about? People. Stupid people, Greedy people, Lazy people, Arrogant people, Animalistic people, Competitive people, and especially Rich people.  Just Plain Silly People. What’s wrong with you people? . How did I end up on this planet full of so many people that think that they or  “their type” of people know better than all the rest or are better than all the rest. How can you be so close minded? “I know I’m right!” BS. When I say rich people I don’t mean strictly billionaires or even millionaires. I worked for a family business one time and the grandqueen of the family actually came out in a meeting that included all the employees and said to her son (the heroin addict trust fund kid with two more trust fund kids of his own shhh) “they’re stupid, that’s why they’re the employees and we’re the owners cause they’re stupid“.  We’re talking 6 digit income people with the arrogance of a dictator of a country.

And not just that but all people have the gawl to think they know better. How can you possibly know better than the other 6 billion people in the world. Yeah 1 to 600,000,000,000 odds that you’re the most intelligent human on the planet. There’s a good bet there. What really aggravates me is the fact that there’s a few hundred people (that think they’re the best) and they run the whole planet because they understand and use the fact that the other 599,999,999,700 or so people believe that they have these differences that make them better than the other. We call some of these few hundred people leaders. Yeah they’re leading us alright. Leading us like sheep to the slaughter. Oh and they have 95% of the money or control of it.

Take Amerika for instance since we are the “melting pot” of the world. I can’t even imagine how many religions there are here and besides that there’s different classes, ethnic backgrounds etc. More like gumbo than a melting pot but I’ve met people from many walks and of life and/or different ethnic backgrounds that all had one thing in common. GOOD. That and the desire to be free yet we have all these differences. We need to get over them and I don’t mean in the way of a New World Order. Whoever you are, wherever You or you’re Parents, Grand Parents, Great Grand Parents are from we are all United States Citizens now and supposed to be free. That’s why people come here is to be free. Unfortunately too many people don’t realize how much freedom has been lost in the last 100 years or just how close we are getting to not being free. Is it Obama that’s going to take away more of our freedoms? What about Bush W? Clinton? All puppets.
