“Professor DeRosa has spent the past 36 years studying American Politics and Institutions. Realizing the profound shift of political power from the people to the national and transnational elite, a process that has been incremental since the Civil War but intensely accelerated since the 2000 election, Dr. DeRosa concluded that fundemental constitutional liberties were at the height of being irrevocably lost. Inspired by and responding to Congressman Ron Paul’s 2008 election efforts, Dr.DeRosa began to consider a more active type of political engagement, not necessarily as a candidate but as an adviser. When asked to consider running for the United States Senate under the Constitution Party’s banner, after prayerful consideration and encouragement by his family and friends he agreed to do so.”
