With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, a Juris Doctor degree from the Florida State University College of Law, a Master of Laws degree from Widener University in Wilmington, Delaware, and a Doctor of Juridical Science degree from Widener University in 2003, Belinda began her career as an attorney and television show producer and host in Tampa, Florida.

Working both on-air and as a practicing attorney, Belinda received an award from the Hillsborough County Bar Association for her work on her pioneering legal television show “Legal Notes.” She practiced law, specializing in entertainment, immigration and international law, while writing and producing the show.
